Sharon Kucey took the first ever Genesis class at the 2006 Southwest Washington Rainy Daze quilt retreat in June. She finished her
top by the time we left the retreat! And, now that her quilt is quilted, Sharon is very proud to announce that her quilt won "Best Use of Color"
AND "Best of Show" at the Sooke Fall Fair in British Columbia this September! Congratulations, Sharon -- you made a beautiful quilt.
Sally Cantwell made Crossroads (Her first quilt!) for her daughter out of jewel toned Princess Mirah batiks. It's lovely!

Carol Bezy of Chehalis Washington says, "Everyone thought I was nuts when I picked out my fabric,
as I put it together I started to think so too. Once the borders went on, I truly fell in love with it!
Quilted with variegated thread."

Karen Kowalke made this Crossroads quilt with fabric in memory of her Auntie Catherine.
Karen customized her Crossroads quilt by appliqueing a heart in each corner - for faith, hope, charity, love and family.
Can you see the heart appliqued in the corner?? Beautiful!
Diana made the wall size Interwoven and pillowcases to match! Very nice!
Diana LaFaro of Hornell, New York made her Interwoven quilt from Batiks with a black background.

Rebecca Duren made her Pioneer Pathways quilt using a beautiful selection of batiks!
Judy Smith started her Crossroads in a class in 2004. Challenged by not enough fabric to complete the quilt, she
creatively added borders and piecing - now the finished quilt is King Size. Very, very nice!
Judy Douglas made this stunning Crossroads quilt using gorgeous fabrics with a Southwestern flair. Stunning!
In May, 2003 Crossroads was the mystery quilt at the Rainy Daze Quilt Guild
retreat in Raymond Washington. Beverly Ramsey made this beautiful Crossroads quilt. She purchased the
fabrics not knowing what the finished quilt would look like!
Beautiful! Great job, Beverly!
Sandra Magee of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan made this Crossroads as her FIRST quilt!! Yes, you heard that
right -- her first one! That's something to be very proud of, Sandra! It's Beautiful. Click Here for
a couple more shots of Sandra's quilt.
Rebecca Duren of Edgewood Washington created her Average C quilt using eight
beautiful Asian fabrics. Nice addition of the narrow inner border! Thanks for sharing with us, Rebecca!
Cappy Townsend of Puyallup Washington made this Polaris quilt in a class
at the Quilt Barn. This quilt has quite a story! The gorgeous Indonesian border fabric was brought back to
Cappy by her sister who was vacationing in Indonesia during the Tsunami last December. Thankfully, her
sister was on the opposite side of the island when the disaster hit, however it was several days before word
was received of her safety.
Gorgeous!
Nancy Carr made her Polaris quilt in the same Quilt Barn class as Cappy (above). Nancy
chose clear bright tints, many with a hint of gold, for a bright spring-time quilt.
Fabulous! Thanks for sharing, Nancy!
Pam Hewitt of the Quilt Barn made this striking Polaris quilt using Carol Doak's line of
fabrics. Kits are available with these exact fabrics for this quilt from the Quilt Barn for a limited time!
